Mikuni VM Round Slide Carb
Described the intake and exhaust I'm running, Ordered the carbs. Installed them without adjustment. The bike fired and ran exceptionally well immediately. Couldn't be happier.

Rereplacment for rotting old carbs full of water for 20 years
Finally decided to give up on my old leaking carbs and bought these. Quality looks great, I like the fact I can keep the same look as the originals. Was not totally happy they are both the same hand, and the idle screw for the left hand card is on the inside. I had to buy the special throttle cable to suit these carbs also you can t use the original cable because I had the high top variation.

What a time saver!
I bought chambers and a K&N filter from HVC and expected to have a session of rejetting the old carbs. Then this came along so I ordered new carbs rejetted for the filter and pipes, and turned my '73 RD 250 into a raging firestorm while saving me a lot of effort and time getting the jetting right. After replacing the 42 year old carbs with these new ones, the bike fired on the 3rd "kick" (I used my hand) and settled down to an even idle. I went to the Internet for tuning instructions and set the idle air screw as instructed, and voila! A real nasty stormer that's easy to ride at regular speeds. The only difficulties: Unlike the originals there is no left and right side, both are "left side" carbs which puts the idle speed screw in an unhandy place for the right cylinder. Also there's no hole for the oil feed which requires drilling one in each carb. No big deal, these are easy work-arounds. Sure made a huge positive difference in performance! Thanks, HVC, you guys are the best!
