Excellent fit
I needed to replace the OE petcock on my 72 DS7. This one looks and fits just as the OE did. Looks good went together perfectly. Thanks for a great product.

Who else sells a fuel tap that directly and accurately replaces the origina?
The fuel tap on my 1973 RD 250 wouldn't shut the fuel off all the way so that I could remove the fuel lines without even a drop of drip. In quick order I replaced it with this one that I ordered "on speculation" that I might need one. Sure enough, in the process of reviving my RD this came up and in a few minutes (instead of who knows how long to find an original that doesn't drip or being forced to get a new, unoriginal tank) progress resumed. If you have an RD that this fits, buy one just in case. WTTW.

Looks and Works Great
Received the petcock and disassembled the lever area to grease up the four hole washer. It was already lightly oiled, ready to bolt on the tank. The washer lasts for only about a year due to the ethanol in our gasoline. I did find a gas station that sells ethanol free gas so that may extend the life of the washer. Bolted it on, no leaks!

solid petcock for yr1
i tried rebuilding the stock one, but after three attempts none of my usual tricks worked. The HVCCycle one is perfect- super easy quick fix and not a single drip to drop. wish i would have taken this route before pouring gas! would have saved a lot of trouble.
