System generator & ignition for Yamaha RD with stock electronic ignition (rotor fastened by nut, not screw)
Please double check what shaft configuration your Yamaha has! There is ample scope for error.
Magnet based generator with integrated ignition.
Output at 12V/150W DC.
Solid state ignition with own power supply from within the system.
Replaces old dynamo, regulator and ignition coils.
No changes on engine casing needed.
The system is technically capable of running without battery.

From 1978 all RD250/400’s (with CDI ignition) had the rotor retained with a nut, these models are commonly known as 1978 RD250E & RD400E 1979 RD250F & RD400F as well as (for Germany) G models. All these models have CDI ignition systems and the flywheel is retained by a nut
This system could work with the 1978-1980 RD250 and RD400 that came with CDI Ignitions.
