These seals work good, but like a previous review said, be sure they are in round. The dust seals in my kit were blocking the pistons from going in. Make sure you don't force the piston and ruin the seal. I wrapped the dust seals around the pistons and let them get nice and warm in the sun for about 3 hours. This seemed to properly size them and allow the pistons to fit.

One seal was out of round and would not allow the piston to be installed. I put the seal on a warmed piston overnight and that relaxed the seal and regained its round shape. I am very satisfied with the results' as I said in the headline the RD now stops. I will definitely be purchasing more products from HVC

When I received my parcel to rebuild my front brake I thought one of the thin seals looked damaged. I tried to fit them and sure enough that seal failed. I e-mailed the guys and told them what happened and immediately the said they would send another set. That is good service and my 5 stars is more for the way the problem was fixed rather than the seals. I am sure the replacements will be just fine so I will use HVC again. Be aware that these seals are the correct shape, square not round and so are better than anything else available.

Have used these parts twice now. HVC supplies you with a complete OEM kit of the parts you need to rebuild the caliper. The OEM O-ring is actually a square shape, and not a circular O-ring. Thus the surface sealing the piston is actually greater than that of an O-ring. I suspect this makes a better seal, and is why I prefer it. Other kits I have seen are just a set of O-rings. Follow HVC's instruction FAQs to get your caliper apart if you need to, those instructions work.
