1976 Kawasaki KE125
From Boerne TX, Dan brought us this 1976 Kawasaki KE125. It was ridden hard over the years but complete. Completion of this Restoration took around a year. One of the main hurdles was the paint and decals. The other challenge was restoring the gauges as the body was all Plastic. Thanks to 3M products we were able to get them back together with a great outcome. Hats off to our restoration tech Jesse for the fabulous work on this bike. Jesse also painted the bike and restored the gauges.
We worked with our local paint guru and came up with a Silver metallic base, gold candy, and clear to match the original gold metallic. The decals came from the UK and we had to refurbish the KE125 badges on the side cover and the exhaust.
Parts were not too bad to get with this one. And we installed a Vape Ignition.
The bike runs fantastic and best of all Smells like a new 2-stroke. We are hoping to see the bikes twin KE125 show up one day for a restoration.
